this hike will forever be in my memories cuz idk if the rock arch is there anymore due to the  eagle creek fire. here's the  alltrails link

i did a shortcut route before which was super fun and involved some scrambling to go straight UP to the rock. like you had to grab onto tree roots and when it came time to descend - you had to crabwalk and scoot your ass. the second time i did the hike - i brought my track spikes lol.

the start of the this hike was a part of ponytail falls and when i tried to see if the trailhead was there... NOPE. it was totally collapse and WOW that feeling sucked when i saw it 😩😩. i've looked at hiking groups and stuff and there's no confirmation that the rock arch survived the erosion.

when i reflect on this - i remind myself to think about what may be gone in the future to make sure you can make those memories now :)
